The latest series of artworks by Wang Youshen continue the particular concept and technique of ‘Washing’. After ‘washing’, the photographs are recomposed and given a new structure and definition. Therefore, the content of the photographs are explained in new details and new perspectives. The ‘Washing’ itself can be comprehended as the symptom of abreacting emotions and fading memories, or a kind of suspicion or even denial on the reflection of the reality. Additionally, the readability of the photography is endued with deeper and broader meanings.
