This is the catalogue for the exhibition ‘Love: Chinese Contemporary Photography & Video’ which was shown in the International Arts Festival-Tachikawa in 1999. It presents photographic and digital image works by Chinese artists who came to prominence during the late 1990s. In their works, these artists explored their inner worlds, their individual ‘self’. Artists’ biographies and introductory essays on the subject, written by Shimizu Toshio, Li Xianting and Zhang Li, are also included in this catalogue.
