Since the 1990s, photography has become a favourite among artistic mediums in China. The present catalogue was published on the occasion of the above captioned exhibition, which provides a survey of contemporary photographic works by over 40 artists from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, including a number of seminal works. Artist biographies and a Chronology of Contemporary Chinese Art 1976-2003, put together by Lu Peng, is also provided.
