Group Exhibition Cockatoo Island, Sydney, Australia
Curated by Stephanie Rosenthal, the 20th edition of Sydney entitled as The future is already here - it's just not evenly distributed will be soon unveiled on 18th March in Cockatoo Island, Sydney, Australia. ShanghART represented artists XU Zhen-MadeIn, Robert ZHAO Renhui and new joined Thai artist Apichatpong Weerasethakul participate the exhibition with new works. This exhibition will last until 5th June.

Apichatpon出生于曼谷，1997年毕业于美国芝加哥艺术学院。自 1998 年开始，Apichatpong开始在世界各地展览他的装置。如今，已经是国际上最重要的视觉艺术家之一。Apichatpong的作品常常带有丰富的抒情和 神秘感，并与记忆交织，微妙地探究个人信仰和社会问题。Apichatpong代表了当代电影院中最原始的心声。他之前的六部电影代表作、短片以及装置项目在国际上被广泛认可并包揽了众多奖项，包括三次戛纳电影节的获奖。

Born in Bangkok, Apichatpon graduated from School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1997. He has also mounted exhibitions and installations in many countries since 1998 and is now recognised as a major international visual artist. Lyrical and often fascinatingly mysterious, his film works are non-linear, dealing with memory and in subtle ways invoking personal politics and social issues. Apichatpong Weerasethakul is recognised as one of the most original voices in contemporary cinema. His previous six feature films, short films and installations have won him widespread international recognition and numerous awards, including two prizes from the Cannes Film Festival.
