ShanghART Video Room will be screening nine pieces of video works by artist Liang Shaoji and a documentary “Time and Life” on October 20th; from October 21st, the installation work “Time and Permanence” will be exhibited to the public in ShanghART Video Room.
Liang Shaoji has been indulged in the interdisciplinary creation in terms of art and biology. He sees the life process of silkworms as creation medium and creates extremely personal, philosophical and poetic art work in the form of installation, sculptures, video works and paintings. The selected video works can be perceived as a record of creation, or an exquisite representation of the core of the artist’s work – the life form of silkworms, or poetic expressions showing the daily beauty captured by the acute artist. Audiences can feel the artist’s mentality of creation.
