For the Festival Fringe, the Artists Village presents The CARE Show, a series of installation works, performances, and exhibitions. CARE stands for Concerned ARtists for the Environment and the Artists Village hopes to heighten the public awareness of these important issues that affect us all.
Apart from installations to highlight environmental issues, there are also special performances. Among them are Noah's Ark by Tang Da Wu and Lee Wen. Tang and Lee express their concern for the dangers faced by plant life in their performance, complete with an Ark!
Since the first in 1984, the Festival Fringe has grown and has found its natural size. The Fringe, as the outreach arm of the Festival of Arts, has over 300 events including exhibitions, performances, installations and demonstrations. The Fringe is frenetic, fun, fantastic, Fortful... and fabulous!
