From March 9 to May 12, 2012, MadeIn Company presents in “Inside the White Cube” works from the “True Image” series: large-scale photographs of sculptures and installations created and destroyed by the company. This series raises questions of authenticity and the way art is experienced today through ‘advanced media’, materialism and the art market. Suspended in the gallery place, a new installation from the “Play” series: “Play-4”, features a naked figure, wearing ceremonial headdress, hung from the ceiling by a form of traditional Japanese erotic game ‘Kinbaku’. ‘Play – 4’ examines the problematics and contentious nature of cultural politics.
