Reconstruction Scene, Sanlin Public Art Exhibition was curated by artist DING Yi together with Sanlin International Art District in early summer of 2012. An art intervention into public domain, the exhibition was unfolded in Old Sanlin Street in Pudong District, Shanghai. It was mainly composed of fifteen site-specific pieces pondering on local environment. There were forty-nine students and their supervisors to join in this event, in attempt to reinterpret and update the cultural heritage of the ancient town, and to explore common characters between life style and art atmosphere through the utilization of various art forms such as installation, sculpture, paintings lights and videos.
