Project Jinhua Architectural Art Park, Jinhua
Located in Jinhua Architectural Art Park, Huiyuan Internet Café was designed by DING Yi in 2004. The entire building shows a highly concise configuration which is constituted by a cloister which leads ultimately to a small courtyard in the centre of the construction. With an architectural language embedded in crosses as its prototype, the white concrete walls coated with low gloss paint and the hollowed-out doors decorated with crosses pattern serve to form the fundamental relationship between exterior and interior. "Network" is a virtual world in our real life. And the designer hoped this small building could allow people to seek for their freedom in virtual world and to experience in an oriental way the pureness and harmony of natural world.
