Karsten Greve Gallery is glad to announce the upcoming exhibition titled ARTISTS´ SPACES. The overall presentation will not remain static in the course of its duration, but undergo several changes. So instead of rendering a final exhibition situation, this dynamic concept is based on partitioning the gallery area into several spaces of limited time periods, thus creating multiple successive scenes or singular realms, reserved for single artist´s work.
Not only will the singular appeal of each piece attract attention, but also their placement in close proximity to other works conveying different artistic approaches will motivate to a comparative viewing and a heightened awareness for correspondences and contrasts among the works. The diversity of simultaneously presented artistic positions gives way to a challenging exhibition tour. Besides containing wall-bound paintings and photographs, the exhibition site will be structured above all with sculptural pieces, whose voluminous presence encourages the emergence of new passages and surprising perspectives.
This variable course creates situations of intense interaction and unexpected exchange between different artistic positions including Robert Polidori, Georgia Russell, Leiko Ikemura, Norbert Prangenberg, and space dedicated to Chinese artists Ding Yi, Shen Fan, Ma Jun.
