Yang Fudong is considered as the Chinese artist of the last few years the most observed in the world, and the most representative Chinese video artist. He uses his own language to show the ability of the Chinese narrative cinema. Yang Fudong likes to film linear narratives with complicated codes and scattered, slow structures. Yang Fudong’s solo exhibition is filled with an uncertain breath, undefined characters, puzzled identities and unforeseeable stage properties. These complex, rich contents linked together reveal a world, which seems similar to the real one but simultaneously far from it. This uncertain aspect creates a scattered feeling, but let us bewitched, because it sometime appears in some corners of our life, or provokes our nerve endings.
