To celebrate Yang Fudong's exhibition at ShanghArt Beijing, we have the pleasure to invite you to a conversation between artist and Bérénice Reynaud, about Yang Fudong's work, film history, international curating and other related and exciting matters.
  
This will be a truly cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary event. It will also be the opportunity to take a look at Yang Fudong's wonderful exhibition before it closes down on June 30.

Bérénice Reynaud is Co-Curator of Film at REDCAT, Roy and Edna/CalArts Theater; Faculty, California Institute of the Arts (CalArts); Delegate, San Sebastian International Film Festival; Programming Consultant, The Viennale; author, "New Chinas/New Cinemas and "Hou Hsiao-hsien's A City of Sadness."

Bérénice Reynaud have introduced some of the most important Chinese film artists and directors' work to California audiences: Cao Baoping. Cui Zi'en. Du Haibin. Huang Weikai. Jia Zhangke. Li Hongqi. Li Yu. Liu Jiayin. Lu Chuan. Peng Tao. Sun Xun. Emily Tang (Tang Xiaobai). Wang Chao. Wang Xiaoshuai. Wu Wenguang. Xu Jinglei. Ying Liang. Zhang Yuan. Zhao Ye. Zhu Wen.

Bérénice Reynaud brought some of the most important Chinese filmmakers to The San Sebastian International Film Festival and who received an award there: Ning Ying (Best New Director with FOR FUN in 1993); Zhang Yang (Best New Director with SHOWER in 1999); Xu Jinglei (Silver Shell for Best Director with LETTER FROM AN UNKNOWN WOMAN in 2004); Cao Baoping (Best New Director with THE EQUATION OF LOVE AND DEATH in 2008); Lu Chuan (Golden Shell for Best Film with CITY OF LIFE AND DEATH in 2009).
