Beginning in 1995, Geng Jianyi began a series of photoworks that applied the process of developing and fixing photographs directly to photo paper.
These are his photo drawings. Eschewing the standard procedures, he engaged in a variety of bold and destructive acts, which produced completely different visual effects. The flow of the developer
is used to make a part of the face appear. The free- flow of the liquid determines the final result.
