Control Club is both a huge tower-shaped stage-built from ten sets of speakers——and a reactive sound installation. It broadcasts music at increasing levels of frequency, finally escalating into jumnled cacophony. In the compulsive frenzy brought on by this monumental stage, a world driven to chaos by excessive control is made manifest, and thus Control Club, in form and function, represents a diseased landscape of contemporary culture.
