The original footage of this work was shot in 2003 by Weerasethakul’s brother when their father was undergoing kidney dialysis. Forever stuck in his memory, the artist reuses the footage here as well
as in a prominent scene in his feature film Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives.
