Statement of "Orchid Finger"
Author: Tang Maohong
2004
I only wish to enable the changes that I am interested in, in relation to the imagery that effect me directly, to be able to randomly spring forth within time. Whilst also letting my sophistication, slow witted as well as the witted disappear through the lens. The most suitable exhibition space should be on a road side, allowing the passing by pedestrians the opportunity of a flitting glance: Things disappearing like ash within a few seconds, the objects are still there but the people not, there is a calm-ness as it use to be in the beginning of time. Afterwards, the pedestrians are able to carry on looking as before or with nobility, dirtily, with enthusiasm, or carry on walking past without any reaction at all, after all it isn't really that important.
