1. Describe briefly your experience collaborating with the Gallery to develop your artist project.
Previously we had a plan about "the garden", and for the children it would be attractive the gallery thought, so they ask us if we can alternate it into an interactive work. Nevertheless we were short of experience on this, as the consequence the success was accomplished with great support from the gallery. Here I'm grateful for all what has been done with acknowledgement.
2. What thoughts do you have about children and families learning about contemporary art through interactive?
It was a fascinating event witch promoted the kids and their family to be involved in art in a fair acceptable way. Driven by what they seen, the participators are wished to understand vitality and creation of art showed by the event. Meanwhile the kids and families promote the re-creation of artists. It's a course of learning from each other, and it's meaningful. Art was popularized and involved in the masses.
3. What do you hope children have gained from taking part in your project?
Have fun! Just open up and enter in the contemporary art.
4. How does your artist project relate to your art practice?
As for the texts, the less the better, even we try to give up of explaining our works by texts. Intuition plays the key to our thoughts. It's an interactive work, and what a thing if kids could feel the Chinese garden when they visit it. And it's a test for our practical art.
5.Your thoughts and observations about Kids' APT and the Summer Spectacular Festival
Through the festival, APT brought the art to the masses, art lovers, families and kids to let them feel the contemporary art and learn from it. It's superb for a social active, and great for us to gain the experience from the nicely combined event with academic and popular.
