26 Passes: 'How to pass the 26 barricades'
(Which passes exist and how to get over them)
1 DEVIL PASS
Those born at noon (11:00-13:00), in the early morning (3:00-5:00, 5:00-7:00) or late evening (23:00-1:00) in July, August, September and December shall pass the month only if they have the virtue of heaven and moon.
2 MONK PASS
Those born in the morning (7:00-9:00, 1:00-3:00), early noon (13:00-15:00) or evening (19:00-21:00) in the year of rat, horse, hare, and rooster shall pass the years by visiting monks and temples.
3 QUICKSTEPPASS
Those born in late evening (23:00-1:00) in the first three months of the Chinese calendar year shall be aware of the danger of jumping in astonishment.
4 BROKEN BRIDGEPASS
Those born in early morning (3:00-5:00, 5:00-7:00) in the first two months of the year on the Chinese calendar shall not see their reflections in water from bridges.
5 HUNDRED DAYPASS
Those born in early morning (3:00-5:00) or late morning (9:00-11:00) in the first month of the Chinese calendar shall pass the month by not going through the front gate for hundred days.
6 HEAVEN PASS
Those born in the morning (7:00-9:00) in the year of tiger, horse, and dog shall pass the year with irritations and eyes that can only look straight.
7 WARRIORS' PASS
Those born in the early afternoon (13:00-15:00) in the year of dragon, rooster, and dog shall avoid seeing swords and bows.
8 GHOSTGATEPASS
Those born in the year of rat (1936, 1948, and 1984) shall avoid going out at night.
9 SERPENTPASS
Those born in the year of these five celestial stems (Golden, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth) in Chinese calendar shall be careful of snakes.
10 GRUNTING NIGHTPASS
Those born in late evening (23:00-1:00) or at noon (11:00-13:00) in the early morning (1:00-3:00); early afternoon (13:00-15:00) will grunt at night.
11 FOUR SEASON PASS
Those born in mid morning (7:00-9:00) in the first three months of the year in Chinese calendar shall pass the month if they avoid presence at weddings and funerals during their one-year-old period.
12 WHITETIGERPASS
Those born in the year of these five celestial stems (Golden, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth) in Chinese calendar will have blood shed if they meet with a white tiger.
13 SOUP ON STOVEPASS
Those born at noon (11:00-13:00) in the year of rat, horse, rabbit, and rooster shall be careful .
14 THOUSAND DAYPASS
Those born at late night (21:00-23:00), early morning (3:00-5:00) or mid morning (9:00-11:00), in the afternoon (15:00-17:00) in the year of horse shall avoid heights when they are three years old.
15 THUNDERBOLTPASS
Those born in the morning (3:00-5:00, 7:00-9:00) or in the afternoon (11:00-19:00), at late night (21:00-23:00) will be scared of drum sound, loud voices, and thunderbolts
16 GOLDLOCKPASS
Those born in the morning (5:00-7:00) or mid noon (15:00-17:00) in the first two months of the year shall pass the month by not wearing silver and gold.
17 EARLY DEATHPASS
Those born in late morning (9:00-11:00) in the year of rat or dragon shall pass many screaming nights.
18 BATHTUBPASS
Those born in mid afternoon (15:00-17:00) in the first three months of the year shall pass the month by avoiding early baths.
19 EMOTIONPASS
Those born at late night (23:00-1:00) or early morning (3:00-5:00) in the first two months of the year shall avoid hearing sounds of knives and axes.
20 HEAVENDOGPASS
Those born in the full fortune date will be scared by dog barks during the month.
21 TRAPWELLPASS
Those born at noon (11:00-13:00); in the morning (5:00-7:00; 9:00-11:00); in the afternoon (15:00-17:00) or at night (19:00-21:00) shall avoid presence at wells, ponds, and springs.
22 FIRE AND WATERPASS
Those born in the afternoon (13:00-15:00) or in the evening (19:00-21:00) in the first three months of the year will have much disease and shall be careful of fire and water.
23 JUMPING COCKPASS
Those born in the morning (1:00-3:00; 7:00-9:00), in the afternoon (13:00-15:00) in the evening (19:00-21:00) shall be careful when a rooster crows in front of you.
24 FOUR POLES PASS
Those born in morning (7:00-11:00) in the first two months of the year snake or hog shall pass the month by not sitting on chairs in early day.
25 DEEPWATERPASS
Those born in the morning (3:00-5:00) or in the afternoon (15:00-17:00) in the first two months of the year shall pass the month if they do not have diseases and calamities.
26 FIVE GHOST PASS
Those born in the year of rat (1900, 1972, and 1996), tiger, and dog in the morning (3:00-5:00) shall pass the year by not visiting temples.
