Introduction
Yin Yunya (1990, Sichuan, China) graduated from Beijing Film Academy and University of the Arts London with a degree in photography. Her recent research and practice considers objects as a medium of "language": an in-depth investigation of the rational level of objects and the sensual level of materials. Her working method seeks potential commonalities between the environment, nature and humans. Usually this method is considered poetic, but for her, it is based on the understanding of the "unity of man and nature" cosmology in Eastern philosophy: the contingency of things exists in the inevitability of the connection between all things. Her conceptual works start from the experience of the present, integrating art and literature, material research and philosophy, and dramatically suggesting the external and internal mutual influence of the everchanging world on people.
