Introduction
Yin Yunya (b. 1990, Sichuan, China) graduated from Beijing Film Academy and the University of the Arts London. Beginning with personal experience, she treats all things as “words,” exploring a shared destiny that transcends boundaries. Her conceptual practice is rooted in contemporary experience, using moving image, performance, and material-based installation to trace and reveal the vitality continuously emerging through human-made contradictions and paradoxes. Her work has been widely exhibited internationally, and she has participated in international residency programs supported by institutions including the Deauville Festival, the German-Chinese Cultural Exchange Foundation, and the British Council.
