A special exhibition of contemporary Chinese art at the 22nd Sao Paulo Biennial, curated by Johnson Chang Tsong-zung. The exhibition is divided into two section: The Remaking of Mass Culture, showcasing the works of Political Pop artists, Li Shan, and Wang Guangyi, and Wakefulness and The Weightless Present showcasing the works of Cynical Realists, Zhang Xiaogang, Liu Wei and Fang Lijun.
