"Origin of Species" is an ink wash animation created through reflections on life, nature, and biological evolution. Focusing on microscopic life forms like bacteria and flagellates, this work attempts to present a reverse evolutionary scenario: breaking traditional notions of life's progression. What if evolution doesn't progress from simpler to more complex organisms, but instead regresses from complex life forms back to the most primitive single-celled structures? What if organic matter could transform into inorganic substances, challenging the boundaries between life and matter? Inspired by the BBC documentary series "Life", the work draws from real-world nature, depicting the strange beauty and brutal evolutionary phenomena in the natural world.
