The series was initially started in mid 2012 by MadeIn Company (Xu Zhen®) when the artists came to observe an alternative effect from an art historical point of view (or more specifically abstractionism), a whiff of provocativeness largely attributed to the application of tools other than brushes. Then they went on to produce more pieces which were almost monochromic. Their unusual resemblance with satellite view of cityscape when seen from distance, as well as the visual haziness caused by the creamy movement, finally evolve into the birth of series title, "Under Heaven".
