‘Beautiful Things (Two Continents)’ is made up of two photographs: one of a projection room in a ruined cinema near Apichatpong's hometown of Isan, Thailand, and the other of a circular skylight in a hospital in Bogotá, Colombia. For the artist, these two forms of light from different regions represent communication and connection possibilities.
