First shown in Thailand in 2022, ‘Dreams and Delusions’ belongs to the project of ‘A Minor History Part Two’.
It is a collage of shadows, combining images of a ruined cinema near Apichatpong's hometown — the same cinema that also appears in ‘Beautiful Things (Two Continents)’ — a defunct hotel, and one of the rooms where he stayed during the Isan journey — one enveloping another by way of shedding sunlight.
Cinemas have been important to Apichatpong since when he was a child, and although films pro-duced by the state were infused with propaganda, cinematic experiences have offered "pleasure and addiction that makes me who I am today."
