LIN AOJIE 林奥劼

Launched in 2019, the video series "Why I Want to Be an Artist" is presented in the form of a TV interview program, with curator Miao Zijin as the host and Lin Aojie as the interviewee. The topics discussed by the duo have evolved over the artist's recent solo exhibitions, ranging from his own path of artistic growth and current social issues to the mutual influence of the art ecology and economic development in this exhibition, on which Lin Aojie gives his unique perspectives. For the third episode of this series, Lin sets the scene in a karaoke room with psychedelic lighting, where serious conversations become even more absurd amidst the cacophony of songs.
