The videos were created with a pocket camera — its 'eye' has a unique ability to see and interpret light and color. This work introduces two 'eyes,' a pair for seeing, for this small apparatus. Apichatpong considers it a natural extension of his interaction with a multitude of occurrences and information. These irises communicate with one another as well as with other shadows, orbs, and cycles. They revolve around home, its memories and secrets. The artist uses them to shield himself when staring at the sun. They both block and observe, manifesting a desire to experience the world beyond sight. "They have created the planets of perpetual inquiry."
