Artist Was Right About Everything! (2026) continues the creative trajectory of Make Artists Great Again, once again intervening in the symbols and rhetoric of the Western political "stage" through parody. Based on the ongoing reality that "American political campaign merchandise is predominantly manufactured in Chinese factories," the artist contacted relevant manufacturers to use identical materials and techniques. They rewrote and reworked the latest political slogans that emerged over the past year, custom-producing a series of imitation campaign merchandise.
Through this process, the work deliberately blurs the boundaries between political aesthetics and artistic aesthetics, dissolving traditional distinctions between artwork, product, and commodity. By adopting a mimetic stance, it intervenes in the contestation over public symbols—serving both as an exercise in aesthetic output and a response to the logic of political propaganda. In doing so, the artist persistently questions the rhetorical relationships and real tensions between art, creators, and contemporary society.
The work is simultaneously displayed as merchandise in the exhibition and made available for sale. The act of artists wearing, using, and disseminating it through social networks further extends its creative logic, forming a darkly humorous practice centered on identity, production, and global cultural politics. Moreover, the prominent use of red—drawn from the visual system of political campaigns—creates a strong visual atmosphere within the space, transforming the color language of political aesthetics into a perceptible, undeniable presence within the exhibition site.
