Xue Song’s distinctive collage art demonstrates multiple sides of Chinese culture: the traditional Chinese painting, ancient calligraphy, folk arts, religious symbols, characters from folklore and historical photographs are pieced together, erasing their designated categories. His methodology is creating a world of personal memories, through appropriation, manipulation and filtering of materials.
