Silkworm is a rare creation. It usually repels metal, but is more intimate with paper. When I saw them crawl on the daily newspaper, spray silk to form a thin foil, I was deeply moved. This could be seen as interpretation of the unique mounting technique of the Chinese Painting. This silk mounting, while enclosing the information into history, constantly diminish and refresh what was left on the surface…

My editing: This work is a unique creation by the silkworms. In general, silkworms are repelled by metal, but are more intimate with paper. When I saw them crawl on the daily newspaper, spraying silk to create a thin layer, I was deeply moved. What the silkworms were doing could be seen  as an interpretation of a traditional technique of mounting paintings that is unique to China. While enclosing the information, which subsequently turns into history, this silk mounting constantly reduces and refreshes whatever information is left on the surface...
