This 6-screen animation installation is an offspring of 100 Years in 1 Minute, a huge video and sound installation produced by HU Jieming and his team back in 2010. A collection of short video clips transformed from modern and contemporary works (Jean Dubuffet on top left, Giorgio Morandi on bottom left, Marcel Duchamp on middle right and Andy Warhol on top and bottom right), this special version, with its much reduced dimension and rust red coordination, suggests the motif of dissolution, recomposition and circulation which serve as the anchor around which whirls a sense of timelessness. Both baffled by the absence of proper chronology and amused by the animated art historical icons, viewers find an implicit connection between the work and today's society.
