This 6-screen animation installation is an offspring of 100 Years in 1 Minute, a huge video and sound installation produced by HU Jieming and his team back in 2010. A collection of short video clips transformed from modern and contemporary works (Mark Tansey on top left, William Kentridge on top right, Marcel Duchamp on bottom left and Fritz Wotruba in bottom right), this special version, with its much reduced dimension and grey blue colour coordination, delivers the motif of collapse, disorientation and absurdity which serve as the anchor around which whirls a weird sense of timelessness and the absence of conventional historical views and time line.
