Constructed using wood offcuts from his previous projects, the sampan (small boat) built by Tang Da Wu signifies how everything has a place and how the existence of each person, object, and space are interdependent of each other.
The sampan lay on its side, having been entwined by an imaginary serpent. The movement of the sampan has ceased due to the serpent, almost as if the serpent is helping to seize the time, allowing it to stop in its track and hold on to the moment a little more.
Tang repeatedly encounters the serpent in both real life and in his mind, with this being of the recurring imagery he experiences, and the other being that of a park bench constricted by a serpent.
