Appearance of Crosses 2016-B10 is DING Yi’s largest work by now, exploring on handmade paper, with the size of 5 meters in height, and nearly 12 meters in width. The full view of the rhythmical colorful painting changes to be a detailed picture consists of well-defined crosses on the textured paper, as if the grainy strokes of chalk and charcoal breathed at the same frequency with the uneven surface of handmade paper.
