The creation of everyone in their youth might be tender and immature, but it cannot be just a tree trunk without branches and leaves. Even if the branch is very tender, one hopes to have different twigs. My idea was very simple when I shot Forest Diary: Shooting different leaves and different people’s portraits, decomposing them and putting them back together into a complete image. Fragmented figures and hidden diaries, I didn’t care about proportions back then, I just wanted to see how the result would look like.
