ShanghART Gallery is delighted to announce its participation in the 2023 edition of Art Basel with Li Shan and Yang Fudong’s duo solo exhibitions at booth R24. Each artist takes a distinctive path to reveal their recent years of practice. Titled “The Echo of Sumer”, unfolds Li Shan’s ultimate focus on species diversity, looking out to the origin of civilisation. Yang Fudong transforms the booth into a dark, mirrored video installation complex. “North Hill” projects a meditative dark monastic room that allows individuals to contemplate in the contextualised realm to look into one’s inner mind and generate a new understanding of entering “An Invisible Film”.
